Sand and Water

“Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures” it says. Tough time requires extra actions, and often, there is no confidence that the actions are right, until the whole situation is resolved and all consequences are obvious.

Walking along beautiful Kentish coast one cloudy September day, I was trying to put my head around a scent which could reflect this mood of slight disquietude and uncertainty in a dull day when the sea meets the sky without any visible line. The scent would be deep dark and doleful, somewhat earthy and maritime. Patchouli and Olive Fruit for sand and sea. A hint of lavender may bring a sorrow and drop of mint might add a coldness.
